I bought this several weeks ago for my very tall 6 year old. Works great - allows me to fit all three kids across the back seat of our 2000 Plymouth Neon when necessary. Some reviewers have complained that it is hard to get into/out of, but I have not found this to be the case at all. It is very easy to use. My 6 year old is able to strap in the velcro, buckle the vest, buckle the car seat belt and fit the belt through the guide clip without any assistance from me, and is able to finish as quickly as my other 2 children (1 older and 1 younger) can buckle up in their 5 point Britax car seats. (Full disclosure: I do leave the vest in the car with the belt already threaded through the shoulder and one lap guide.) I'm glad I didn't let comments about how difficult it is to use sway my decision - this is a great product. We use it every day, multiple times per day, and each time we use it I'm even more convinced that we made the right choice. The only negative thing for me is that you can't buy the dual tether online, and we're awfully close to the 60-pound limit of the single tether. I contacted the company asking where I can buy a tether, and they emailed me an order form to fill out and fax back to them. I wish I could just buy it here on Amazon.When we outgrow our Britax Frontier 85 seats, I'll be buying two more of these vests. GREAT product.

I am writing this to respond to the rather negative review that is also placed here. We have been using one of these for over 2 years. It really isn't any harder to use than a booster seat. Our 5yo son does most of it himself now. He puts on the vest and threads the seatbelt properly on his own. He can also unbuckle himself and get out without assistance. It takes no where near "5 minutes" to put on. We feel this is a great alternative to a booster seat. Please do not let 1 person who can't figure it out to dissuade you from buying it. I really do not see why this ignorant person had to go out of her way to post drivel in multiple places. I am just going to say look at the timeline s here we have used it for years and she can't figure it out in a few weeks and gets mad.

my dd is 50lbs and 52 inches and I'm not confident that the fit is tight enough to offer the promised safety. I wish I could have tried both sizes. Otherwise it's a great product and seems very well made.
