I am pleased with the Maya wrap thus far. To be fair, I haven't had my baby yet, but I was practicing with one of my cats, and it seems like it will be godsend (I'll have to update when I actually use it on my baby).I like that it came not only with an instructional DVD, but with an insert that goes over all of the various ways to carry your baby. It was very easy to figure out, and seems like it is comfy (the cat in question weighs 16 pounds and it was much easier to hold her in the wrap than lug her around).The wrap came pretty quickly and was packaged nicely in a reusable zipper bag, but the one thing I disliked was the overwhelming smell of patchouli! I opened the bag and nearly gagged. Luckily, since I had my cat in there, I was going to wash it anyway (it came pre-laundered in a dermatologist/pediatrician approved soap).All in all, I am initially very pleased. I have a large bust (F cup pre-pregnancy), so I had to really shop around for something that would be comfy, but, unlike the Moby wrap (which was the most comfortable and supportive of all the slings I tried), wouldn't be oppressive in the heat of West Texas. Since the size runs by height, I will recommend that any large busted women go up a size (my height meant I should get a medium, so I got a large).

I already have a baby bjorn but got this because a woman I met at a La Leche League meeting swore by the ring sling. It takes some getting used to but the videos online help. (Was supposed to come with an instructional DVD but mine was missing.) I like it because you can breastfeed in it in public while walking around with the baby and the extra fabric works very well as a nursing cover. As a new mom, now being able to breastfeed on the move is a HUGE convenience. It is also helpful just around the house- when the baby wants to be held but I need to move around this solves the problem. Color is nice and as pictured. Fabric is not too soft but fine. All in all I would recommend.
