We've had one of these gates for years and recently needed another one after we adopted a new dog. The gate is tall enough that dogs respect it -- once they realize what it's there for. Most of our dogs have jumped over it at first.The advantage to this gate is that you don't have to step over anything to go through the gate, unlike most other gates on the market now. It glides open easily. The installation is easy, too.
