Other carriers I have: Baby Bjorn Classic and Ergo Baby Performance Carrier.This bag by no means replaces the Ergo, since it is not quite as comfortable for wearing for more than an hour or so at a stretch, but the overall convenience and design are excellent. It is ideal when used as a supplement to a stroller.Pros:- Egg-shaped insulated pouch is quite versatile - I easily fit a Nuk sippy cup or bottle+ice pack inside.- Good sized bag, big enough to hold the necessities (5 size 4 diapers, travel wipes case, 2 burp cloths, small hand sanitizer, extra playsuit, bottle or sippy cup, snacks or pouch of baby food, a small toy, my wallet).- Well designed pockets inside that help organize without adding bulk or taking up space inside.- Outside bottle pockets held a 20 oz. water bottle fairly securely (enough to free up my hands)- As a bag only, can be worn 3 ways. Has a nice wide strap. Rerouting the strap excess into the guides is fairly easy.- Straps adjust tighter quickly - little pull loops on the carrier shoulder strap are helpful- Carrier strap folds up very compact and very easily- Front-ish hip carry is convenient for mom to see and maneuver things right in front of you (like washing your hands, pushing a shoppiing cart or eating).- Key clip on an attached leash is handy for your keys or for a toy/pacifier.- Cool-max lining on the strap pads (same as Ergo Performance)In-Betweens (or just personal preference):- Baby can't sleep in this carrier. Even with the carrier extended to the max, the support pouch doesn't enclose baby fully enough for her to sleep in it. No head/upper shoulder support for baby.- Baby can twist around to see things. Nice for letting baby look around, but sometimes doesn't feel secure enough.- Not a lot of padding on the carrier (although of course, padding would add bulk to this sleek bag)- You need to remove the bag in order to convert it to a carrierCons:- Not as secure as an Ergo-type carrier for a squirmy baby (mine is 8 months, 28" and 20 lbs. - the carrier comes to just under her arm pits, at the lower/larger setting)- Small-ish shoulder cushion on carrier slips out of place easily (not super hard to do)- Can't carry for longer than an hour or so without some discomfort (even after double checking strap fit/placement).- Wish it were machine washable (best way to clean baby drool). Instructions say wipe clean only.Can't review the stain-resisting or clean-up qualities yet, but overall this is an excellent bag+carrier combo.

This bag is great. I am a mom on the smaller side with a 10 month old who is 24 pounds. Carrying her around for a long period of time is not an option for me! The carrier feature is very handy when you need to do quick errands and don't have time to fumble with a stroller or there are no shopping carts around. I have also used it when at the mall and my daughter wants to get out of the stroller and be held.Here is what I love about the diaper bag:- It has plenty of pockets and holds what I need without being too heavy to then carry around all day- It has an insulated pouch that snaps on to the bag strap (or your stroller handle) for easy portability and accessHere is what I love about the carrier:- It can hold up to 35 pounds (more than my bjorn which only got used a few times before my baby outgrew it)- It is always with you- It is very easy to get your baby in and out of it- You still have access to your diaper bag

I just received my Sidekick Diaper Bag and was so excited to start using it. As a mom, you tend to collect EVERYTHING for your baby and take everything with you whenever you go somewhere. I traded in my purse for a diaper bag and have to minimize what I bring for me so there's enough room for my baby's things. Then on top of the diaper bag, you need a car seat, stroller, baby carrier, etc. Pretty soon you don't have enough hands for everything. This sidekick bag solves those problems. The bag is convenient just in itself to carry all the things you need on a daily basis for the baby (fits quite a bit of stuff) and is stylish too. But then, TA DA... it becomes a baby carrier also. It goes over the shoulder so the weight of the baby doesn't hurt your shoulder/arm and is sooo easy to convert from bag to carrier and back to bag. We took this to the zoo for the first time with my 3 month old and it was great. He was able to look at all the animals AND i had his diaper bag too! Perfect! No more needing to be an octopus. This is such a great invention and I am so happy to have gotten one. I definitely recommend this to EVERY mom and even dad. Its not too girly for a guy to use. My husband doesn't mind using it/carrying it as well. A must have!
