I am very impressed with the Baby Bjorn Comfort Carrier. I had the original Baby Bjorn carrier with my first child and it did not have the hip support and it put a lot of strain on my shoulders and back, but was easy to use. The Comfort Carrier is what it says, comfortable. I have also had the ergo baby carrier and I absolutely hated it. I found it hard to get my infant in comfortably and was very difficult to put on or adjust without assistance from my husband. With the comfort carrier I can place my baby in, facing me or away from me, unassisted. As well I can fasten the snap clips, which are in the front, as well as fasten and adjust the waist and shoulder straps easily. Another challenge that I had with the ergo baby that has been met and exceeded by the comfort carrier is that the leg position can be adjusted for normal to wide. The ergo carrier is only for a wide leg position therefore accommodating larger children only. There is an infant insert for the ergo, but again I was unable to place it and the baby in the carrier comfortably or safely. With the Baby Bjorn there are no worries of dropping the baby as there were with the ergo baby carrier. I am so happy that I bought the Baby Bjorn Comfort Carrier, even though it is a little bit more expensive, but both baby and I are very comfortable for long periods of time.
