I gave it four stars because while it's a very nice carrier I just don't see the hype to make it so expensive. I couldn't figure out how to put my daughter in it on my hip (even following the directions...) and being a bigger girl I guess the waist strap doesn't sit in the right place or something. I will keep trying it and who knows after loosing some weight (I'm working on that lol) I will love it... If so I'll come update my review...

I have tried many baby carriers in the past. I was hesitant to purchase this because of the price tag. However, it was worth it! Other baby backpacks hurt my back so bad, or they were so confusing and I never felt I had my baby in correctly. I use the Ergo baby carrier st least 5 times a week. The longest I have went with it was 5 miles, and no back pain!! Most often, I use the front carrying method, since it is easiest for me to do on my own. For long hikes, my husband normally helps me use the back carrying method. I have done the back carrying method a few times on my own. Sometimes I got it really easily, other times it was kind of hard to do on my own. I think that if you used thr back method all the time, you would probably have a good handle on it and be able to do it yourself. Also, the pattern on this carrier is so cute! I have gotten Manu compliments on it so far. This carrier is a lifesaver and I can't believe I went so long without it! (got it when my daughter was 6 months old...now 8 months and still perfect). Also, get the teething pads with it. My daughter always chews the straps of the carrier, so I wish I bought them at the same time! Lastly, I live that there is room for keys, a diaper, small pack of wipes, and my phone in the zipper pouch that is standard on these carriers. Love it!
