My baby boy loves this gym. He loves the toys, especially the light up feature that moves, making it look like the animals are playing catch. The mat is thick and bright and the animals are adorable! I need a shower girft for a friend who is expecting a girl and I am buying one for her too!

Some people complain about there being only four clips for toys... Honestly, it's plenty because the clips can be slid up or down the arches, so you have a lot more flexibility that it appears at first for positioning and for large toys. The pad washes without a problem and air-dries quickly. The padding is a little thin for hard surfaces, but not a big deal to add an extra blanket/burp cloth under the pad (or on top of it, to protect from spit-up... at least until kiddo starts moving around too much and pulling it around. Besides, it wouldn't dry so quickly if the padding was thick, and I'd much rather just add as padding is needed than have to wait longer for it to dry.My only complaint is that the tummy-time pillow is a bit thin and the stuffing moves around easily. I used it, but it was always annoying to have to make sure all the stuffing was shoved into the middle of the pillow so it could support my baby.Also, the arches HAVE to be put into the correct fasteners or it won't fold up right (color-match the arches to the fasteners AND don't overlap the arches in the middle); it's easy to fix once you're aware of what to do, but it's frustrating the first time you make the mistake.The rest of the additional items --toys, mirror, electronic light/button thing -- have been great. It is VERY easy and quick to fold up, set up, and transport the gym. Now that my kiddo is sitting up, she loves looking at the animals and playing with the little extra bits of ribbon and crinkly bits added to the pad. ..Since I do fold/unfold it many times a day, the mirror under the arches now has a tendency to be angled off to one side, but my baby's more interested in the side mirror now anyway. Best of all, the gym pad is large so we should be able to use it for playtime even after she completely outgrows the arches.

My six month old has had a great time with this play gym. She enjoys the colors and textures, and I use the clip on toys both on the play gym and in her carseat to entertain her. THe gym is also a nice size, and the toys hang a good length above her head (not too far, not too close to the mat). The reason for four stars instead of five is that there are only four hanging 'hooks' for the toys. I have had other playmats with multiple eyelets--that design allows you to position some toys high, and others low (in case baby is on her belly and looking forward at a toy). Overall, this is a great mat and will keep the little one happy.
