We have a kelty kids ridgeline carrier. I don't believe this is the correct sun shade for it, however, it works well enough, if you have a little Macgyver in you. It secured well; the wind hasn't torn it off yet. It appears to have plenty of head room for my daughter, though it is a bit more challenging getting her in and out now. Well worth the trade off, either a happy daughter or a hot miserable one. I choose happy. Hope this helps!!!

I somehow pictured this sun shade solving all our exposure issues with my fair skinned babe in our much loved Kelty pack. A good hat gives you the same coverage, but this does do the job. Kids will always have arms in the sun. It is a little annoying to secure. It has to be removed to get your child in/out of the pack, so we don't always use it. Looking back it is a non-essential item, but you may have different circumstances. Maybe if your child refuses to wear a hat this is a good solution.
