I got this for my grandson who will be born next month for him to possibly use as a lovey, though it is rather small. Originally I had purchased the medium sized one, but at 16 inches I was afraid that it would be almost as big as the baby, and not be so easy to fit in the diaper bag, so I decided to get the smaller one because it is so darn cute. It comes in three sizes (only the small one has a rattle), I am saving the first one (size medium) for later because it is safe, good quality and washable. This one is MUCH smaller, but I am hoping that the baby will enjoy playing with it, at least as a manipulative and a rattle. The rattle makes a soft sound, so it will be good to take along to church or other places where the baby can play quietly. The bunny rattle is soft and there are no parts to come loose or pose a danger to little ones. I expect that the baby will get very attached to either this little bunny or another stuffed animal or the blankie-animal lovey he is getting. Will let you know how he likes it later.
