Like a Moby wrap, the k'tan is a cozy, cloth carrier that keeps baby snug and close. Unlike the Moby, the k'tan is super easy to put on. As PP mentioned, it does stretch out after a few wears, so I throw it in the wash and dry on a medium heat every other week to tighten it back up. Fresh out the drier it is a bit TOO tight, but I put baby in it and after about 20 minutes it's good. I'm 5'1'' and about 130lbs post partum. I wear an XS. a S would be too big for me. I agree with PP that the sizing chart is very accurate - go with it. I love babywearing and own several different types of carriers. IMO the k'tan is good for short shopping trips or doing chores around the house (never cooking, of course). After about 40 minutes, however, it makes my back hurt, unlike sturdier carriers like mei teis. My homemade mei teis are my favorite carriers.

The Baby K'tan was great for me for about 1.5 months while my son was <13 pounds. I had to use it for a good 6-8 hours a day because he did not want to be put down for naps, EVER. As he approached the 14 pound mark, however, the carrier began to kill my back and shoulders (I am very petite - 5'1 and 120 pounds postpartum). Consequently, I recently purchased an Ergo Baby Organic carrier to help distribute my little one's weight more evenly.It was a great solution while I used it, however, which is why I gave it 4 stars. The organic fabric is soft and the fact that it's organic put my mind at ease when my little one used to suck on it as he fell asleep. Due to the record heat-waves this summer, I often placed my baby in this with just his diaper on so that he would not overheat. That seemed to do the trick, as he rarely seemed to sweat profusely while in the carrier. Also, knowing that the baby is ergonomically sitting, rather than being dangled by the crotch, was a plus.

I purchased my baby k'tan carrier and have used it several times now. I am too impatient for the manual's multi-step instructions but had no trouble following the very helpful and short videos online. The carrier is extremely soft and my seven month old daughter loves being in it when we go out. It's also breathable which has extremely important for me during our record breaking heat waves this summer. I have not noticed any stretching with mine like someone else mentioned. Even though I am busty and usually size up on things like this, I stuck to their sizing chart and ordered a size small. The size chart was very accurate and the fit is comfortably snug, like a hug. It's the only carrier/sling my daughter didn't fight to get out of and we get lots of compliments when we go out. It does distribute weight evenly, stays supportive of both of us for long periods of shopping, is very comfortable and washable. I haven't talked to anyone who doesn't love theirs; you should definitely try it out!
