Overall this is a great back pack and I would highly recommend it. We've used it for hiking, shopping, gardening and just about any other time we aren't using our BOB Revolution. We just recently took it on a trip to the West Coast and had no problems collapsing it to fit in the overhead compartment. We constantly get inquiries on where we got the backpack and how nice it was. The first few times our daughter went into the carrier she wasn't a fan but now she just quietly sits there waiting to have a 'adults' view of the world. She loves the bag and sits there quietly looking around or blowing rasberries in my ear.Positive:- A lot of storage space- Detachable bag: We use the little detachable bag for her diaper bag and it also holds her toys, bibs, and other miscellaneous items. Her sippy cup fits perfectly in the webbing on the outside.- Kick stand is a great innovation and since our daughter is still small (~16lbs) we don't have to worry about her tipping the bag over.- Adjustable belt hasn't been an issue for me and hasn't slipped- Backpack is comfortable and pretty easy to use- The webbing on the belt is useful for holding your cellphone or other itemsNegative:- The bag doesn't quite fit my wife (~5'4"), the frame is a bit long and so hangs below her tailbone area, this makes her feel like she's having to constantly lean forward.- Cover: It's hard to find a backpack with a sunshade that shades from all the sun, the only downside with this one is the installation/removal, it's not a big letdown but it does take a minute to put it on.

I bought this for my wife to carry our son. She is in the 110-120lb range and had no trouble at all. I was impressed with it's sturdy construction and no nonsense design. Very adaptable to what ever our needs were. Aside from the price I'm completely satisfied.

This is a great backpack/child carrier for those of you who are avid multi-day or mountain hikers. Kelty really thought of everything when they made this. Must have for anyone who hikes frequently and has small children.
