The VersaGate is the most versatile gate on the market. This modular system has a variety of (optional) extensions, enabling endless configurations: it can span large areas, it can navigate difficult spaces, and it can even be made into a pen. The VersaGate features a 40" door section with a large 24" opening and rubber-coated, stabilizing feet to increase stability and prevent scratching floors. The basic Versagate system (VG65) comes with a door panel (40 inches) and two medium extensions (20 inches).

I was hesitant to purchase a baby gate online, even after reading reviews, but I couldn't find anything that would work on the stairs of our tri-level house in most stores. The gate took about an hour to put together and install and the directions were easy to follow. I purchased a 20" extension that create a necessary and sturdy fit. The color blends in well with the wood floors, which makes the gate appear more natural looking.Well worth the money!
