We have used a couple different car seats for our girls (2-1/2 and 4). We are a traveling family who mostly live on the road in our Fifth-wheel while my husband works, or when we want to vacation. Our 2 year old had a My First Years car seat that was handed down from our first that needed to be replaced because the foam started to disintegrate. We liked the seat because her head would not flop down when she fell asleep, but there really was not a lot of padding. Our 4 year old had a Graco Nautilus and we did not care for the seat. Her head would flop down any time she would fall asleep and it looked so painful, It had VERY little padding, so on our road trips she would complain about her butt hurting 1-2 hrs into the trips. We tried using a neck C-pillow to help and extra cushion on the butt area but felt that doing that would make the seat less safe.We began looking into other car seats including Britax who I had heard a lot of great things about but never purchased one because they are more pricy. Now that we own 2, I know why they cost more. They are the safest seats on the market, have the most padding and are super durable. We have had a few occasions where my 4 year old's head has flopped forward. Those times were on long road trips and she was in a very deep sleep. I have not seen our 2 yr olds head flop yet. I am VERY happy about the lack of head flop, the ease in installation, the comfort, and how excited my little ones are to get into their car seats every time we get in the car. I am so glad that we made the plunge and purchased not one but TWO of these seats.I highly recommend them!
