This little bank is small, but adorable. It looks like a ceramic bank, but it's really a very durable wood resin coated with a very glossy paint. The body is like holding a snow globe, about three inches wide and deep. It has a rubber stopper in the bottom with a little tab you can pull to get it open, though you may need the help of a pen to grasp it. The bobble head is sturdy - can take a lot of punishment. I bought this bank to coordinate with a jungle theme in my baby's nursery. It's not big enough to handle large amounts of cash or coin, but it should do nicely for toddlers learning to save. Overall, I'm pleased with the product.
