The Dreambaby hallway gate comes with one 3.5" extension and one 7.0" extension. It will fit an opening of 38"-53" using the included extensions. The larger extensions are available to purchase separately. Each gate will accept a maximum of two extensions. This gate is pressure mount and very easy to install. The door opens in either direction and will close automatically. The gate does come with mounting cups for optional use. Please note that pressure mounted gates may seem defective in first glance, but they will work fine if they are installed correctly as per the printed instructions.

we needed a gate to fit in between the kitchen and livingroom which a little larger space than normal. i spent alot of time reserching gates about 2 months and i decided on this one, and i am so glad i did. it is perfect. it only took me about 20 mintues to set it up and get it right. we have it about 1/2 an inch of the floor so just in case it did slip or something it would not scratch the hardwood floor. it shuts great, opens great and locks great. my 14 month old son loves it to because he can see through it so he knows what is going on in the other room, the gate does shut by itself but i think that is good if you want to keep it open just put a shoe in front of the door and there you go its open. i love it love it love it, way worth every little penny. i would recommend this product to anyone and everyone. it is also not bulky looking and it looks nice when it is up not like most gates. it is pressure mounted so no screws in your wall. and if you have to you can still step over it, low enough to if you need to, but yet still high enough so shildren cant get over and because of it being designed the way it is, it is also very hard for the little ones to climb. again love it love it love it
