This product probably does what it says...it keeps things from being opened by children. However, when used to keep the freezer closed (bad seal that opened freezer when fridge door shut too hard) it was more cumbersome than useful. It keeps the freezer shut but is a royal pain to open and close...the latches are hard to open and the strap is tricky to feed back in each time. I would suggest using these straps on something that doesn't need to be opened often.
