You cant beat the safety and ease of installation of these safety bars. Yes, they are pricey, but what is your child's safety worth? These fit best in our vertical-sliding windows. We were nervous at first about whether they would work out since there are no photos of that kind of installation, but they were very accommodating to different shapes.
