I love this booster because I was struggling to find boosters where I could fit 2 boosters and one non-booster child in the backseat of a BMW 3 series and this works! because the base is smaller, there is still legroom for the 3rd child in the middle. The child without the booster can fit with her legs slightly under the top edge of the booster. She says it is comfortable, more so than with my high back Porsche brand booster (purchased also b/c it fits in small cars). My 6.5 year old and her classmate seem to not have trouble with this booster, even though when they unbuckle and get out, it does move somewhat, but I find that with most of these light weight, easily transferrable boosters, they all move since they aren't locked in. My daughter says it is her most comfortable booster and likes riding in it very much. I also have the Nania backless booster, touted to be one of the most narrow, but since the base is the same size as the top, it didn't help me get 3 across in back... It is also super light and moves when my child gets up. I wouldn't use this for a child less than 40 lbs. My personal opinion is that children under 40 lbs/younger than 6 should be in a high backed booster.
