This kit is simple to do and has a nice look when completed. I found that is a very good deal for the price. Others that run $40+ have a cheap frame and "foamy" clay/impression material that is "springy" and never takes a good impression. Then there are the plaster impression kits that are just hopeless and the only thing that gets accomplished is a big mess.The handprints gained with this kit were extremely detailed and I couln't be more happy. We ordered several kits and learned that kneading it for the full 2 minutes (yes, seems like a long time) makes the clay very soft. We kneaded until if felt warm in our hands. One of our children wasn't very cooperative so it took 3 tries. The clay started getting a little dry, but a few drops of water and more kneading took care of it. After the impression was made, I smoothed out the nonprint part of the clay with my finger (sometimes with a little water on my finger) as the clay seems to get shifted a little when the print is made. I think our results look better than the stock photo and as someone else also mentioned, I wish I could attach a picture.
