I have twin 2 1/2 year old girls who worked out how to climb out of their cribs at the same time. So we needed to convert their cribs to toddler beds, but wanted to keep all their toys and blankets (and bodies) in the beds during the night. This rail had mixed reviews but mostly seemed what we wanted.They've been on the beds now for about 4 weeks and are working great. There is a gap at either end for the girls to climb in and out by themselves which they like and the rail is nice and strong. It's made of metal, which I preferred over wood as some others use, for the greater strength. My girls are pretty rough and I didn't want these to break under them.The 1st one took me about 15 minutes to install, the 2nd maybe 10 mins. Remove the mattress, assemble the rail, attach it to the bed frame and drop the mattress back on top of it. Dead easy.Didn't even require any tools, though a ratcheting screwdriver could make the attaching to the frame step go a little faster.I'd certainly recommend if you're in a similar situation.
